In Texas, Tea party birthdays must always have beer too
Mrs. Viera I am sure has never seen a Tea Party birthday quite like this.
We have a woderful place here that is an antique shop, art shop and a bar all rolled into one. The owner has it set up with wonderful little tables everywhere, and intimate little groupings of furniture. You can grab a foreign or domestic beer, and walk around gazing at the art and antiques for sale, or plop down at the bar, or sit with your friends in one of the little seating areas.
Or, have your daughters 4th birthday there!
At 7pm.
On the busiest night of the week.
During happy hour!
Girls, we have one upped you on multitasking during happy hour.

The intimate setting
My friend Leah is a fantastic cook, and of course, birthday cake is soooo dull….so her daughter requested Tiramisu
Which she shared with the other bar patrons on Princess plates
And since we were having some wine along with the party, we made sure we had an emergency back up in case we had to rush one of the kids to the hospital…….it was easy, since we were in a bar during happy hour
Chris, here is photographic evidence that your people exist. Note the red, red wine glass.
Mia the next day, trying to recover from too much rootbeer
Ms. Viera……….it is called fun. Embrace it. Live it. And be sure to have a sense of humor when you read this.

How cute! Now that’s a side of life I never see, having four boys.
love this! I can’t believe I missed it before. Wonderful!
YEEEE Ha!
After having 3 boys and endless camping birthday parties out in the middle of now where, it was nice to finally through a party within civilization, albeit a bar. You know Jody, I have some jealous friends that can’t understand why they weren’t invited to the party. They didn’t know they needed a 4something year old to be invited. You better remove this post before I lose more friends. I know I was just taking the easy way out by having it there, and had I planned a bit more in advance, I would have invited more people, I promise. I raise a glass to those who know how to have fun- balanced with responsibility and a little bit of fake make-up.
Leah- the mom of the 4 year old!
We had a blast. Mia now wants to have a tea party for her 3rd b-day, so I need to make an Alco run to get the princess tea set.
Spontaneous always works for me, as you know how far in advance I plan our b-day parties!
